Bank: A bank of indexes comprises a single row. A bank can have as few as one tab and as many as 30. The number of tabs in a bank determines the length of each tab.
Body Copy: Text or graphics printed on the sheet (does not include the tab extension area).
Collation: Gathering of individual tabs into sequentially ordered sets.
Cut: Number of tab positions in a bank.
Extension: The depth of the tab.

Index Sheet Dimensions: Quick Tabs, Inc. can create a custom index to fit a carrier of virtually any size. But it's important to specify index sheet dimensions in the correct order so that we know where to position the tab. When ordering, specify the dimension of the binding edge first as illustrated here:
Length: The length is measured along an imaginary line that extends through the middle of the tab.
Mylar: Transparent plastic coating (clear or colored) applied to the tab extension or binding edge.
Position: The sequential location of a specific tab in a bank.
Punching: Quick Tabs can punch your indexes to match any type of binding system you choose. Comb, loose leaf and spiral binding are among our many capabilities.
Reverse: Printing tab extension so copy is reversed as shown here.
Set: Complete group of tabs; from the first tab to the last. There can be several banks in a set.
Strip Reinforcement: Rip-Proof polyester film laminated at the binding edge reinforces the holes of each index, increasing the product's longevity of the index and prevents if from ripping and slipping from its binding.
Tab Copy: Text or graphics printed on tab extension.
Tab Copy Style: Direction copy prints on the tab.
